What is packaging waste?
Packaging waste regulations oblige businesses that handle or supply packaging above defined thresholds to report the packaging they place on the market and to contribute to the cost of managing it.
Reporting is by material and by weight, which means the data has to be collected through the year rather than assembled at the deadline. That is the practical burden, and it falls on procurement and operations rather than on a compliance team.
