The waste transfer note is the document that proves you met your duty of care, and on paper it is the document most likely to be missing when someone asks for it. It is filled in at the roadside, carried in a cab, and filed in a box — and the copy you are asked for two years later is the one that got wet.
WasteOptix generates the note against the round it belongs to, at the point the transfer happens. The record carries the same information the paper one does and keeps it attached to the collection rather than in a parallel filing system, so there is no step where a note has to be matched back to a job.
Consignment notes for hazardous loads are held in the same place. They are a different document with different rules, but they are part of the same evidence chain, and separating them across two systems is how one of them ends up incomplete.
Retrieval is the part that matters under audit. Records are searchable by customer, by site and by waste stream, so the question "show me every transfer from this site last quarter" is a search rather than an afternoon.
